DISCUSSION:

Starting from July 1, 2024, major consumers will have to pay extra for technical connection to electric grids. The special charge will be used to cover the energy companies’ expenses associated with construction of new facilities required for electricity supply.

Because of that, facilities under construction will have to pay much more for connection to electric mains. At the same time, even at this point their expenses can reach 10 per cent from the cost of the entire investment project, which is a heavy financial load on every enterprise. After the above-mentioned charge is introduced, some of the experts believe the cost of technical connection is going to increase fourfold.

The current growth of the industrial production facilities implies development of prospective manufacturing capacity, which raises the question about rejecting the centralized power supply and building inhouse generation means (or increasing output of the existing private stations).

ISSUES TO BE DISCUSSED:
  • Inhouse generation of a factory: legal aspects of businesses in the sphere of electricity and heat power production.
  • How to assess the payback period and the potential of the project.
  • How to start inhouse generation of a factory: from the project to implementation.
  • Creating inhouse generation at a plant on a turn-key basis: engineering and comprehensive support.
  • Technological solutions for corporate energy centres.
  • Gas reciprocating unit based inhouse electricity generation.
  • Co-generation and electricity and heat supply systems support for municipal and housing facilities.
  •
