DISCUSSION:

The last two years became both a serious challenge for our economy but also some kind of a pH paper to reveal if it is adaptive and if it can follow the new trends. Has the electric energy sector passed the test? The experts will discuss this question at the Plenary Session during the Russian International Energy Forum.

 

ISSUES TO BE DISCUSSED:
  • Is the industry ready for growing electric energy demand? Regional shortages and ways of dealing with them. Generation situation, including own generation facilities of industrial companies.
  • Tariffs problem. Cross-subsidies - is there a chance to solve this persistent problem?
  • Investment condition of the industry. Equipment and grids deterioration rates.
  • Import substitution in the sector. Living in the era of parallel import. Russian turbines and software.
  • New approaches to electric energy control. Why do we need the strategic electrogrid company concept? Prospects of electric energy demand management.
