I am really glad to greet participants, organisers and guests of the 12^th Russian International Energy Forum in St. Petersburg!

This event is one of the most expected by the energy community. The Forum is a place
for experts and producers, investors and developers, business representatives and state officials to conduct an extensive and thoughtful dialogue.

Business meetings in Expoforum offer a chance for the companies to speak out and get into the spotlight, to demonstrate unique solutions and technologies that can sustain competition in the global market.

The engineering and energy complex of St. Petersburg is one of the largest in Russia. Our city contributes significantly to development of the technological and scientific potential possessed by the Russian energy industry. It is on the shores of the Neva river, where advanced and high-tech products are manufactured. Our local enterprises have extensive experience
of advanced research and design works for the fuel and energy sector.

Energy engineers of St. Petersburg work consistently to fulfil the assignments provided
by the President of Russia and to ensure reliable energy supply of our region. Our special focus is on increasing energy efficiency of industry, municipal sector, transport, as well as on creation of convenient urban environment.

I am sure that during RIEF 2024 we are going to learn about some offers and propositions that will definitely be successfully practiced.

Dear participants of the Russian International Energy Forum,

On behalf of the Energy Consumers Association, I welcome you at this momentous event! The Forum is a unique venue where the top experts and representatives of the energy sector come to share their expertise, experience, and insights.

Investment contracts, efficiency enhancement of strategic planning in the energy sector, cross-subsidies reduction arrangements, establishment of an up-to-date system of financial, administrative, technology, and process interactions within the sector, promotion of green and classic energy: this is hardly a comprehensive list of the topics we’d like to talk about and use as a guide to develop a mutual action scenario here, at the well-proven site of the Russian International Energy Forum.

Specialists engaged into the same business and all thinking ahead can change so many things if they get together, share their ideas, and join forces to put their dreams into action. This is why RIEF where thousands of kindred spirits meet year after year is such an essential and viable growth driver for the industry.

On behalf of the Scientific and Technical Council of Unified Energy System Nonprofit Partnership (Partnership), the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (National Research University), and me personally I welcome the participants and organisers of the 12^th Russian International Energy Forum!

Today, RIEF is rightfully regarded as the key event of the Russian fuel and energy sector, which takes place annually and where the most urgent issues of the energy resources development and operation are considered.

Every year during the Forum, the Partnership takes part in organisation of a round table discussion, where the most pressing issues of the energy sector development are talked over.

This year, the essential topics to be covered during the discussion will be sustainable development of the Russian energy sector, energy security of Russia, import substitution issues, distributed generation development, digitalization, new technologies, nuclear energy development, and staff training.

Participants of the round table discussion, who are scientists and practitioners, will have a chance to tell each other about the most cutting-edge industry-specific projects, to reason and argue, and finally to get their messages about the challenges encountered by the sector across the wide academic and technical communities.

On behalf of the Association of Guaranteed Suppliers and Energy Service Companies, let me greet the participants and organisers of the Russian International Energy Forum!

Today, RIEF is rightfully regarded as one of the most significant annual events in the Russian energy sector. Every year during the Forum, the Association of Guaranteed Suppliers and Energy Service Companies holds a round table discussion, where the current trends and the changes upcoming in the electric energy retail markets are talked about.

This year, the Association will also be a co-organiser of the New Tools in Electric Energy Retail Market and New Consumer Roles round table discussion. During this event, we will consider some conceptually new tools that have emerged and are associated with production and consumption of electric energy. In particular, we will focus on circulation of electric energy generation attributes and its origin certificates, services aimed to manage changes in use conditions, and charging of e-transport vehicles.

I have the honor to greet the participants of the 12^th Russian International Energy Forum!

Energy is the key sector of the Russian economy. All kinds of strategic business lines, including the defense sector, the production industry, and agriculture, depend on its effective and uninterrupted operation.

The most essential concerns of the energy sector are digital transformation of the fuel and energy complex, enhancement of cooperation with the BRICS countries, safety of energy facilities, tariff setting improvement, reformation of Russian power engineering, and sustainable development. Naturally, all these topics will be covered by the convention program tracks of RIEF 2024.

Year after year, the Forum has been a place for top experts of the industry to find the best models to transform the Russian fuel and energy complex. Thus, it has proved to be the leading event in this sector.

In 2024, RIEF and the concurrent initiatives, which are Municipal Housing Complex of Russia International Exhibition and Corrosion Protection International Exhibition and Congress, expect over 10 thousand of visitors from 20 regions of Russia, the CIS countries, and far-abroad countries, too. There will be state officials, representatives of major power and industrial companies, scientists, and workers of dedicated enterprises and associations.

The integral part of RIEF is the Power & Electrical Engineering International Exhibition, which Expoforum arranges in collaboration with the RESTEC Exhibition Company. Russian manufacturers will showcase their products along with foreign producers, coming from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and the People’s Republic of China. The collaborative stand of 20 companies based in Harbin (China) will present all kinds of hi-tech and innovative production sites operated in our friendly state.

As usual, the Business Matchmaking Centre will become a place for suppliers and manufacturers to meet the largest industrial customers face-to-face.

The technical tours to power and industrial factories and sites of St. Petersburg are on the agenda along with the events of youth program for future and emerging specialists, including the conference arranged by the Rosseti Lenenergo Youth Innovation Centre.
